The Institute: Hispanic Art Research Centre
Created in 1943 by Teresa Amatller Cros, the Institut Amatller d’Art Hispànic is located on the first and second floors of the House.

Made up of more than 360,000 photographic copies from different archives (including the Mas Archive and the Gudiol Archive) and a bank of more than 90,000 digital images

Mas Archive
Adolf Mas (1860-1936) belonged to the group of artists and bohemians of Els Quatre Gats. Despite family pressure, he managed to devote himself to photography.

Gudiol Archive
The architect and art historian Josep Gudiol Ricart created his own photographic archive. As the first director of the Institute, he deposited these collections so that it would become part of the institution’s photo library.
