Founding member of the RIHA
The Institut Amatller d’Art Hispànic is one of the founding members of RIHA (Research Institutes in the History of Art)
This prestigious International Association for Research in the History of Art has been operating since 1998 in Paris.
Its main objectives are:
- The promotion of education and research in History of Art and related disciplines
- To intensify cooperation between institutes by facilitating the flow of information on scientific and administrative activities and the implementation of joint projects
- The exchange research results
The Institut Amatller d’Art Hispànic forms part of this family of research centres, as, since its beginnings in 1941, it has shared objectives with the bodies that make up this association.
The Institut Amatller d’Art Hispànic of Barcelona is, to date, the only Spanish institution that belongs to the select group of the RIHA. It should also be noted that the Institut Amatller d’Art Hispànic is the only one focused on the study of Hispanic art
